How We Do It
 |
In
surveys we consider the required
aperture height, the size of the
dish antenna, the type of traffic
to be carried on the link, the
transmission power and the available
frequencies. |
 |
From
the use of GIS data a theoretical
path profile can be calculated.
Once the sight and clear paths
have been identified a Line of
Sight Survey (LOS) can be ordered. |
 |
A
Line of Sight Survey is to confirm
that the theoretical design matches
the actual terrain. This would
involve an engineer visiting a
site to confirm that there are
no obstacles and a clear path
exists. |
 |
Based
on the results of the surveys,
Antennas will be installed according
to the required aperture height
and orientation. The outdoor units
and waveguides will be installed
as per design. The installation
engineer will install the radio
equipment as per the general arrangement
drawings. |
 |
After
installation we will verify the
link alignment and check the link
budget. Correctness and neatness
is checked before running a Bit
Error Rate (BER) check of the
link for the recommended soak
time. |
